The Archive and National Library presents the history and civilizations of the Emirates to the peoples of the world through Etihad Airways 


In conjunction with the UAE's Golden Jubilee celebrations, the Archives and the National Library, in cooperation with Etihad Airways, announced the launch of some educational services for travelers that would provide them with documented information about the UAE's glorious history and ancient heritage. The ten principles adopted by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State - may God protect him - for the next fifty years.
The educational services announced by the Archive and the National Library, in cooperation with Etihad Airways, are represented by providing a large number of its publications in the business class waiting lounges at Abu Dhabi Airport so that travelers can spend an enjoyable time learning about the history and heritage of the Emirates.
On the occasion of the fiftieth Union Day of the United Arab Emirates, Etihad Airways received those coming to the United Arab Emirates aboard its flights with a number of commemorative postcards from the nation’s memory (Post Cards), presented by the Archives and the National Library. So every traveler gets some cards as a gift - and the cards show aspects of the cultural and historical development of the United Arab Emirates.

The National Archives and Library of the United Arab Emirates at the Ministry of Presidential Affairs was established in 1968 based on the directives of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, God willing, with the aim of collecting and documenting everything related to the history and heritage of the United Arab Emirates and the Gulf region. Forty years after its founding, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan - may God protect him - issued Federal Law No. 7 of 2008, transforming it into the National Center for Documentation and Research, and entrusting it with the tasks of organizing the archives of government agencies in the United Arab Emirates. 1 of 2014 AD issued by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, may God protect him.
