Integrated Management System Policy
National Library and Archives is committed to offering distinctive archival, documentation, and research services that exceed clients’ expectations, and provide quality services by developing, implementing and maintaining an integrated management system in line with ISO 9001:2008 for provision of quality services, ISO 27001:2013 for information security, ISO 14001:2004 for protection of the environment, and OHSAS 18001:2007 for the health and safety of our employees, visitors and service providers.
To meet the requirements of our integrated management system, we are committed to:
- Establish objectives and targets in an effort to provide safe, effective, and reliable services to our stakeholders.
- Promote awareness and implement sufficient measures to ensure safe working conditions for all National Library and Archives employees and other relevant parties.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements including Federal and Abu Dhabi emirate requirements concerning environment, health and safety legislation.
- Prevent pollution, minimize the generation of waste, use energy in a rational way, and ensure safety in our services/facilities.
- Implement effective security measures to protect the Archive’s information assets from all threats, whether internal or external, deliberate or accidental, and manage information security risks.
- Continually improve our integrated management system, as well as our processes and services
This policy is issued and communicated to all employees and its implementation is the responsibility of All National Library and Archives Staff. It shall be annually reviewed and updated by the top management to ensure that it remains relevant and applicable to National Library and Archives activities
