The National Library and Archives celebrates Flag Day and pledges to continue its path, guided by the insightful leadership

The National Library and Archives honoured Flag Day by hoisting the flag atop its headquarters and the Centre for Preservation and Restoration, as it symbolizes the United Arab Emirates and is a source of pride for all.
In the presence of all staff, the flag was ceremoniously raised, signifying unity and national cohesion. On this special day, the NLA affirmed that Flag Day is a cherished event that fosters unity, fraternity, and generosity, and encapsulates the spirit of the union, coexistence, and peace among the populace. It also reinforces the UAE’s reputation as a model of tolerance and elevates the flag as a symbol of ambition, glory, peace, and prosperity.
The National Library and Archives promised to the wise leadership to continue meaningful national endeavours under the lofty banner of our homeland. Furthermore, the NLA aims to achieve the objectives outlined in their strategic plan, extending to the year 2032. The NLA’s mission is to further enrich knowledge societies and maintain its status as a unique cultural landmark, all in alignment with the insightful guidance of the leadership to position the United Arab Emirates as one of the leading countries in the developed world.
The NLA elaborated that the flag of the United Arab Emirates will continue to inspire pride in our principles and values and in the achievements of our nation at all levels. The NLA emphasized the flag’s role in promoting loyalty and a sense of belonging to our homeland, and in safeguarding our national identity.
